Vitamin C Complex VS Ascorbic Acid

Vitamin C Complex (found only in whole food) = Ascorbic Acid + Bioflavinoid Complexes + Tyrosinase + P Factors + J Factors + K Factors.

Vitamin C complex is an essential nutrient necessary for optimal health and immunity. It is needed for connective tissue formation,

so Vitamin C benefits include, healthy bones, skin and blood vessels.

Ascorbic Acid – the antioxidant wrapper for the vitamin C complex.  Accounts for about five percent of vitamin C activity in the human.  Most vitamin C supplements sold are entirely ascorbic acid.  They rarely contain any of the following factors that can only be found in the vitamin C complex in whole foods.

Foods rich in vitamin C provide not simply ascorbic acid, but all the other components of the vitamin C complex.

Even though ascorbic acid is the same as vitamin C by definition, it does not provide all the benefits. Vitamin C from whole food provide so much more than antioxidants, which are not the universal health booster they are often claimed to be.

Syntactical Vit C (Ascorbic Acid) is made from glucose (Corn syrup)

Vitamin C Complex (natural) including:

Ascorbigen bioflavonoid complexes

  • are known to have anti-metastatic, antiproliferative and cytotoxic activities

Tyrosinase (enzyme)

  • activates WBC and trace minerals (iron, manganese, copper, iodine, zinc, cobalt, fluoride and selenium)

Main benefits for immune system comes from tyrosinase enzyme, not from synthetic ascorbic acid.

P-Factors (rutin)

  • help with vascular integrity. Patients deficient in P factors have a tendency to bruise easily or bleed in their gums while brushing their teeth

  • is a clotting factor and keeps you from bleeding to death.  It also is important to maintain strong bones

  • increases the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood

We can use synthetic version od Vitamin C (high short term dose/IV) or long term  medium dose (low vitamin/mineral amounts in fruit/vegetables due soil depletion, farm methods etc.) but we have to make sure that we have enough Vitamin C Complex including fruits and vegetables as well.

By taking excessive amount of synthetic Vit C (ascorbic acid) you depleting your cells from this other components.

Ondrej’s Tip:

Beside your morning and afternoon pill of Vit C add 2-3 x a day natural complex of Vit C (organic/support local farms) from bell peppers, strawberries, blueberries, guavas, broccoli, tomatoes, etc.)
